About Me
My name is Hanne. I am 23 years old and comes from Stavanger.
I have lived in Stavanger my entire life, exept for one year when I lived in Hamar.
I am a student at the University of Stavanger, where I am currently taking my Master's degree in Biological chemistry.
Together with being a student full time, I also work part-time at Staples Stavanger.

Biological chemistry
Biological chemistry gives a better understanding for what is happening around us, and for what is happening inside us.
The chemisty gives an introduction of how we can manipulate two different compounds to produce a different compound. It also show how we can use what we know to analyze unknown compounds in order to find out what they are.
The biology gives a good understanding about living organisms and how they co-exist in order to get the best possible environment to grow in. It illustrates how the different biological functions work, and how we can manipulate them in order to get what we want.
The most exciting for me is how we can use this knowledge in the field of medicine.

Norway
Norway is my homecountry. Norway is a long country, and it gives lots of varying scenery from mountains, and fjords, to long beaches and plains, to cities and countrysites.
The scenery can be enjoyed both in summer and in winter. There are several activities to do, both for free of for a fair price.
One can walk on the long beaches, or for the more adventures surf on the waves at different beaches. It is possible to go hiking both on easy routes or more challenging routes up the mountains. One can ski in the winter, or go on skates. It is also nice to just walk around in different city centers, or to stay on more rural parts and relax in more calm environment. We are a multicultural nation, and this can be seen both with different people and in different religious buildings.
I was born and raised in Stavanger, a town by the south-west coast.
Stavanger is known for being the oil-capital in Norway, but we have a lot more to offer. There are beautiful scenery in Lysefjorden, and at Pulpit Rock. We also have the old part of town, with old wooden building, and we have a great cathedral, Domkirken, with fantastic architecture. The beaches at Jæren is famous for its waves, and Solastranden is a beach not far from city center. There are also lots of culture, with live music and theater in different arenas.
