Karianne
My name is Karianne, and I am taking my master degree in Biological Chemistry at the University of Stavanger in Norway at the moment.
I just started this fall (2010) and really enjoy it so far.
Science has always been a major interest of mine - the different aspects of it changing over time. From poking snails in kindergarten, to star gaze for aliens during elementary school, to discovering chemical lab work in high school. So when it was time for college I decided I wanted to become a bioengineer. After my bachelor degree in this I wanted to continue learning more and ended up doing a master degree also. Who knows where it will end ;)
My other interests are plenty and diverse, but travelling is very high up on my list. I‘ve been traveling quite a bit these past few years and really enjoy meeting new people, exploring different cultures and being introduced to new things.

Norway is my home country.
I have travelled around the world and found many amazingly beautiful and interesting places out there, but Norway is truly the country of my heart.
The wonderful nature with its tall mountains, steep waterfall and long coastline is breathtaking. This is an exciting arena for hundreds of activities, including my favorites: hiking, camping, snowboarding and diving.
